The German Federal Employment Agency (BA) has announced its November unemployment figures.
As a result, the seasonally adjusted number of unemployed in the country increased by 17 thousand in November compared to the previous month and reached 2 million 538 thousand. The expectation for the number of jobless in the markets was that it would increase by 14,000 in November.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate also rose to 5.6% from 5.5% in November.
“Overall, the job market is stable,” said Daniel Terzenbach, a board member of the Federal Employment Agency.
According to provisional veri released by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the number of employees in the country increased by 32,000 in October 2022 to 45.7 million.
