The EU provides € 1.5 billion in monthly aid for Ukraine in 2023 – Last Minute Economy News

President Ursula von der Leyen had a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski, according to a written statement from the European Commission.

Von der Leyen reported that he will propose a financial package to Zelenskiy this week, which will amount to 1.5 billion euros per month and 18 billion euros in total for 2023.

Emphasizing the importance of predictable and regular funding of key state functions, it was said that this would also work to support Ukraine’s reforms and its path to EU membership.
