The amount of cow’s milk collected decreased by 4.4% in September – Last Minute Economy News

Turkey’s Statistical Institute announced veri on milk and dairy production for September.

As a result, the amount of cow milk collected by commercial dairy enterprises, which was 799 thousand 135 tons in the previous month, decreased by 6.1 percent in September and became 750 thousand 461 tons.

The amount of cow’s milk collected by commercial dairy farms decreased by 4.4% in September compared to the same month a year earlier. The amount in question decreased by 2.7 percent in the 9 months of the year compared to the period January-September of the previous year and fell to 7 million 479 thousand 354 tons.

INCREASE BUTTER AND YOGURT PRODUCTION

In September, compared to the same month of the previous year, the production of butter increased by 12.8 percent, that of yogurt by 6.2 percent and that of drinking milk by 1.7 percent.

During the same period, the production of ağartı decreased by 4.8% and the production of cow cheese decreased by 1.6%.

In the January-September period, compared to the same period of the previous year, butter production decreased by 25.4%, ağartı production by 11.1%, yogurt production by 3.9%, of cow cheese by 5.1% and the production of drinking milk by 0.7%.

Drinking milk production, which in the previous month had been 121 thousand 125 tons, increased by 1.8 percent in September and stood at 123 thousand 294 tons.
