Turkey’s Statistical Institute has announced its poultry production veri for September.
As a result, 210 thousand 77 tons of chicken meat were produced in September. While output rose 5.7 percent year-over-year, it fell 2.7 percent month-on-month.
In September, 1 billion 719 million 515 thousand chicken eggs were produced in Turkey, with zihin annual increase of 6.5 percent and a monthly increase of 2.1 percent.
Turkey MEAT PRODUCTION INCREASED BY 21 PERCENT
In September, 114 million and 798 thousand chickens were slaughtered. The number of chickens slaughtered increased by 4.5% compared to September 2021.
During this period, turkey meat production increased by 21.1 percent year-on-year to 5,433 tons.
In January-September, the number of chickens slaughtered increased by 11.8%, turkey meat production by 12.1%, chicken meat production by 10.4% and chicken egg production by 1.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.
