China’s Ministry of Commerce has released foreign investment (FDI) veri for the first nine months of the year.
Foreign direct investment in the country increased by 18.9 percent year-on-year in the January-September period, reaching $ 155.3 billion.
During the aforementioned period, investments in the service sector increased by 6.7 percent and in the high-tech sector by 32.3 percent.
The Chinese economy grew 3% in the first 9 months, underperforming the government’s growth target for 2022 by “about 5.5% per annum”.
