Exports to Libya exceeded $ 2 billion in 10 months – Last Minute Economy News

According to veri from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Turkish exports in October increased by 3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and stood at $ 21.3 billion.

Turkish exports in the January-October period increased by 15 percent and reached $ 209.5 billion. Exports to Libya increased by 3.3 percent in the 10 months of this year, reaching $ 2 billion and $ 24 million.

Cereals, legumes, oilseeds and their products have become the first sector of Turkish exports to Libya, with zihin increase of 50.5% and 296.7 million dollars in the period January-October 2022 compared to the same period of the year previous one.

EXPORT OF OLIVE AND OLIVE OIL AT THE HIGHEST GROWTH OF THE SECTOR

The grains, pulses, oilseeds and commodities sector was followed by furniture, paper and forest products with $ 249 million, chemicals and products with $ 243 million, and ready-made clothing and apparel with $ 236 million.

In Turkish exports to Libya, olive and olive oil were the sector with the highest increase in exports in 10 months of the year.

Exports of olive and olive oil, which exceeded $ 4 million with a 173.4% increase over January-October 2021, were followed by tobacco. Tobacco exports increased 107.5 percent in the 10 months of this year to $ 8.6 million.
