The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has published veri for 2020 on food waste in European Union (EU) countries.
As a result, in 2020, the first year of the Covid-19 epidemic, Europeans’ per capita food waste was 127 kilograms.
Families accounted for 70 kilos per person, which corresponds to 55% of food waste.
