In the British Retail Consortium (BRC) statement, it was reported that fresh food prices in the country have risen the most year on year since 2005 in October this year due to rising energy prices, the shortage of skilled labor and the ongoing war in Ukraine.
In the UK, the prices of durable products with a relatively long shelf life, also known kakım pantry products, increased by 9.4%, while general food prices increased by 11.6% over the same period.
THE INFLATION PRESSURE INCREASES ON CONSUMERS
BRC CEO Helen Dickenson, whose assessments were included in the statement, noted that the inflationary pressure on consumers was felt even more by the increase in the maximum price cap to gökyeşitözü applied on energy bills starting since October.
