The weekly money and banking statistics were released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).
As a result, total deposits in the banking sector (including between banks) increased by 171 billion 803 million 768 thousand lire in the week ending November 11 to 8 trillion 857 billion 142 million 473 thousand lire.
In the same period, TL deposits in banks increased by 3.77% to 4 trillion 129 billion 991 million 344 thousand lire, while foreign currency (FX) deposits increased by 0.37% to 4 trillion 363 billion 92 million 415 thousand lire.
While total foreign currency deposits in banks last week amounted to $246 billion 533 million, $212 billion 912 million of this amount was collected in residents’ accounts. Looking at the change in domestic residents’ total foreign currency deposits, a decrease of $3.712 million was observed since Nov. 11, in veri adjusted for parity.
INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF THE INSTALLMENT OF COMMERCIAL LOANS
Consumer loans in deposit banks increased by 1.12 percent last week to 953 billion 193 million 807 thousand lire.
In the same period, commercial loans on installments increased by 0.92 percent to 817 billion 218 million 346 thousand lire and the credit card balance increased by 1.89 percent to 553 billion 470 million 332 thousand lire.
Consumer loans in custodian banks consist of 325 billion 539 million 42 thousand lire for homes, 27 billion 809 million 970 thousand lire for motor vehicles and 599 billion 844 million 795 thousand lire for other loans.
The total volume of loans from the banking sector, including CBRT, increased by 65 billion 899 million 984 thousand lire in the week ending November 11 and reached 6 trillion 836 billion 760 million 245 thousand lire. The total volume of loans increased by 66.26% compared to the same period of the previous year.
