Asian Equity Markets Have Been Mixed – Last Minute Economy News

While global equity markets followed a cautious path ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s (Fed) interest rate decision on Wednesday, Asian equity markets started the new week with a mixed pattern.

While the Fed is expected to raise its policy rate by 75 basis points this week, uncertainty arises in expectations for the December meeting.

While hopes that the Bank will reduce the interest rate hike at its December meeting are maintained, the announced veri and developments mean that the continuation of the 75 basis point hawkish steps remains on the table.

In this context, the indications that the Bank will give in the meeting on Wednesday are fundamental for the pricing trend.

DATA CAUSES CONCERN IN REGIONAL ECONOMIES

On the Asian side, the veri announced today brought with it concerns about the slowdown in regional economies.

In China, the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) of the manufacturing industry fell to 49.2 and the PMI of services to 48.7, indicating a contraction. In Japan, industrial production declined 1.9 percent month-on-month and increased 9.8 percent year-on-year, hayvanların remained below expectations. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index fell 1% to 14,718 points, while India’s Sensex Index came in at 60,614 points with a 1.1% premium.
